ECU MAPPING FOR KAWASAKI KLX 2020-2026 MODELS WITH HEADLIGHTS
As long as your KLX 300 has a headlight, this mapping will work!
​Optimized fueling and ignition timing, along with you removing your secondary throttle valve, results in an easy 6 hp gain in mid range power with a slightly modified stock exhaust and air box.

Even more power with any aftermarket exhaust.

In the dyno chart above, the red line (bottom line) is a stock 2023 KLX 300 S bike in 4th gear.
The orange line (top line) is with our ECU with a modifed stock pipe and air box and the secondary throttle valve out. You have to admit, it's a hell of an improvement!
It's a 6 hp improvement through the mid range, and this bike really needs it. With big gains throughout, and snappy throttle response, it's the absolute best modification you can make to your stock KLX bike, after the secondary throttle valve is removed.
An even bigger gain, is any aftermarket pipe, as you see above. This is the Delkevic 14" muffler over the modified stock pipe. Along with just the snorkel out of the airbox lid, the secondary throttle plate out and the ecu,
It's a 7 hp gain over stock, for about $500.​

What we do to improve your KLX

Fix the ignition timing
We add timing starting at 2200 RPM. We taper it off up to maximum torque. The we retard it a bit until redline. This make the bike much more responsive and also pull harder up to 6000 rpm. The backing of timing from 7500 - 10, 000 rpm, helps with power on top. This is one reason why the ECU reprogram is so much better than just a fuel adding device.

Change the Intake Air Pressure (IAP) parameters
It clearly states in the service manual, that the IAP is one of the main inputs the ECU uses at lower rpm's, to determine fuel needs. This is something we have access to inside the ECU tables. A nice performance gain was found here.

We optimize fueling
We strive for great fueling throughout the rpm and throttle range. HOWEVER, this is based on the secondary throttle plate removed, our air box lid and a modified stock muffler or aftermarket muffler.

This would be to rich if you left the airbox and muffler stock or to lean for a full pipe and open air box

"The remap of my ECU for a KLX 300 was just as advertised. It added hp/torque right where I needed it. The 4k-7k rpm is where I normally operate at, and yes the increase is real. I was running a 13/46 sprocket combo prior, but went back to the OEM 14/40 after the reflash and actually have more torque now. Not a wheelie monster, but I can snap up the front easily. The real bonus was that I maintained my 75 mpg, which surprised me. The only thing I have noticed that I did not expect was that my head pipe blued significantly, but it might of blued with no changes in time. Even though this is a small bike, the reflash was an amazing change. Well worth the $."
